Every Formula Must Have a Defined Purpose
Every Hylora product begins with a specific skin-health objective.
Before selecting ingredients, we first define what the formulation must meaningfully support or address. We then consider the biological processes relevant to that objective and build the formula around them.
This prevents the product from becoming a collection of popular actives without a coherent function. Every ingredient must contribute to the intended outcome, support the stability or delivery of the formula, or improve its safety and usability.
If an ingredient cannot justify its place, it does not belong in the product.
The Complete Formula Matters
An ingredient list can tell you what is present. It does not tell you whether the product has been formulated effectively.
An active may be supported by excellent research and still contribute very little when it is used at an insignificant concentration, supplied in an unsuitable form, destabilised within the formula or combined without regard for compatibility.
Hylora evaluates the complete formulation rather than relying on the reputation of individual ingredients. This includes:
- the concentration and specification of each active;
- compatibility between ingredients;
- pH and formulation stability;
- delivery and bioavailability;
- supporting ingredients and preservation;
- packaging and protection from degradation;
- intended frequency and method of use.
For our Intravitals, the same discipline extends to daily serving size, nutrient form, extract standardisation, molecular weight and the combined physiological rationale of the formulation.
We do not formulate to create the longest label. We formulate to create the most purposeful one.
